RESUME

Born in Huan’an of Jiangsu Province in January 1965, Xie is now research fellow of the SIMIT, CAS, tutor of doctoral candidates, and vice director of the State Key Laboratory of Functional Materials for Informatics; he graduated from the Department of Physics of Wuhan University in July 1985, and got the doctor’s degree from the SIMIT and stayed there in July 1990, engaging in basic research of high temperature superconducting materials; from March 1993 to November 1995, he undertook the postdoctoral work in?cole Supérieure de Physique et de Chimie Industrielles de la Ville de Paris, researching design and transmission characteristics of infinite-layer superconducting materials; from November 1995 to May 2005, he was engaged in the electronic manufacturing reliability research; from June 2005 up to now, he has engaged in research of superconducting materials, device, and application, with main research directions being iron-based new type superconducting materials, superconducting quantum interference device (SQUID) and its application in weak magnetic signal detection, including biomagnetic detection and biomagnetic imaging research; SQUID ultra-low field NMR and imaging research, and SQUID magnetotelluric exploration and testing research, etc. He once won the first session of Natural Science Peony Award by the science & technology committee of Shanghai municipal government, the second prize of the CAS natural sciences award (ranking No. 2), and the 5th secession of China Youth Science and Technology Award. He has also published more than 80 papers in domestic and overseas academic journals, and at academic meetings, which have been cited by domestic and international peers for nearly 300 times. In which, the single paper in superconducting field was cited the most of 130 times.
