Final evaluation of joint research institute conducted by SIMIT and Juelich
In 2010, the www.9778.com-威尼斯9778官方网站 (SIMIT), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and the German Juelich Research Center PGI-8 (formerly IBN-2) jointly established a "Superconductivity and Bioelectronics Joint Laboratory", which is developing into an important platform for cooperation between China and Germany, based on the platform, the two sides have carried out a number of cooperation topics such as extremely low-field nuclear magnetic resonance and imaging research, SQUID's new readout circuit (SBC), cell chip, and microfluidic electrophoresis. In October 2015, in order to promote deeper multi-level and multi-field cooperation between the two sides, SIMIT and the Juelich further established the “Sino-German virtual joint research institute of functional materials and electronics”. The framework agreement content of the four cooperation directions (superconducting electronics, bioelectronics, quantum materials and photovoltaics) was determined, and the development of the joint research institute was promoted through mutual visits of scholars, student exchanges and sharing of research facilities, and jointly promoted by the two sides. 2018 is the third anniversary of the establishment of the Joint Research Institute. The two sides conducted a final evaluation of cooperation in four directions. Many experts were invited to evaluate from thesis, patent, personnel training, research results and development plans. The results passed smoothly. The two sides will continue to strengthen cooperation and research in various fields, and agreed to hold a quantum information technology cooperation seminar in the first half of 2019 to promote the development of the two parties in the field of quantum computing.
